So i'm refilling the trench so we can move the mews over onto it, so it won't be dripped on and it will have better drainage, and the window will have a better view.
it's hard work filling in the trench, unlike taking it out, its now dry and has turned to rock, so i have to break it up, and then load it into a trashcan, drag it over dump it, and repeat! It's hard work, but i guess i only have myself to blame for going over board before.
So i kinda cheated lol, i went out and bought some cheap filler soil, which made life SO much easier, there is just a little more filling to do, then time to move the beast over (which is gonna be terrible). The weathering & mews will be done monday. I have about 400 more dollars to go, and i'm not only ready for inspection, but ready for a bird! ;D
So all I need now, is to put the bars and door into the mews, finish up the weathering, get the scale, and the bath pan, and weld my bow perches. I also need to buy my raptor food, then it's done. Yay!
(note that I still need to paint the structure, but i will be fully in requirement for inspection, then it will be time for Adam to come up and check everything out!)

Please share with him we look forward to the pictures...I know how much hard work he put into it.
....and p.s. Matt...thank you... that was the right thing...keep working at it....one day some of all you hear worth retaining will make sense....(Your PM was shared...hope you don't mind.)
We didn't get to finish today, due to cercumstances beyond our control, so friday is the day it will be done, all that's left is to build the door of the weathering, put the bars in the window and skylight, put the door knob on the door to the mews in, lay the astroturf down, and build the perches. we'll at least get to the astroturf going down, dunno about the perches.
Here is the front view of the completed weathering (minues the door).
Here is a really really up close view of the welded wire used in the weathering and the shade cloth covering part of the roof (an area is exposed so the weathering gets the morning sun).
I shall be ready for inspection soon, in about a weeks time ;D
I cut the conduit for the window and the skylight today. I officially hate the chop saw. The sparks and the ungodly sounds! It takes FOREVER to cut all the peices, UCK!
But they are done now, friday will be the home strech and possible finish! ;D
