Hope it's okay to post here, Don't wanna open another thread for the same purpose. I'm thinking of moving to Florida soon (Okeechobee or Winter Park) I've been interested in Falconry for a while and I was wondering about the specifics of Falconry in Florida. Are there restrictions? My favourite Raptor is the Peregrine falcon are they allowed? About how long does it take to become fully immersed in this amazing sport?

Hello, I've been interested in falconry since I was maybe 7-8 years old, I'm currently 16. I live in Port St. Lucie, FL and I'm in need of a sponsor. I'm calling FWC tomorrow to request a falconry information packet. If anyone can point me in the right direction, it'd be great!
If anyone happens to live in Florida and has a question about nearly ANYTHING state-wise involving the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commition, ask me; my dad works for it and has been since before i was born. If I can't get the answer from him, then we'll know personally who to get it from.
i am how old do you have to be to be a falconer...... and were is a good place to find a master falconer

If you're wondering about the regs for FL, the best bet is to check the fish and game website for the state. Alternatively, the state falconry club might have a link to them as well.
