Thought I'd show some pictures of my mews. Sorry I havn't got any inside pics; it was REALLY sunny yesterday and the inside of the chamber and the workroom wouldnt show up well in the pictures. Here's some outside pics and the floor plan of my mews:

Some info about my mews: Almost everything was donated! I've never had any trouble handling my Red-Tails with how the doors are situated, and the way my mews in built, it stay reletively cool. I was in there all afternoon yesterday throughly cleaning it out , and I was comfortable! (My dad said it had something to do with the ridges in the siding material, the winow, and the insulation on the inside we used.) The only problems I've had is the front door-it's a big step from the outside door to the ground, and sometimes the bird can get spooked just a bit. I'm hoping to get a concrete block or step to fix this. I'll try to post inside pics soon, when I get a chance on a good cloudy day when they'd show up on my camera, lol! In the mean time...I'm wanting trapping season to get here faster!
Comments, questions, and criticism is very appreciated.

Looks awesome. Its always the best whenever things are donated....saves you the money you could be spending on your hawk or yourself...lol. I cannot wait to see pics from the inside...oh and I am waiting to get my test results back...wish me luck and like you I cannot wait for trapping season to begin....only three more months....
thanks! I can't believe how lucky I am! haha the inside has donated posterboard -like republican political signs for local elections!(My dad is friends with or previous republican mayor!) My dad make the comment that all my RT's will turn out to be republicans when they're surrounded by those signs! lol But hey that doesn't bother me, I'm republican lol =P

I am a republican as well....its good that you are going to be having your birds around those signs as much as possible....lol...we need as many hawks out there as we can get to vote for us.....wow what a good campaign that would make huh?!?!? LMAO!!!! Thanks for the info about the test....that sucks that you made a 79% the first time...I would have been sooo angry....did you study off the CHC study guide the first time around? Oh and one questions...it has been bothering me and anyone can answer....on the test there was a question on when RTH get their red tail....I have been taught that they get it when they are 3 years old but then I have also been told that they get it when they are 2.....there was a quesion on there that asked that.....what do you guys think/know from your experience? Please tell me I got that question right....lol...
Red tail feathers come in at the first moult. If you get a full moult the first year which is normal for Red-tails then they get a red tail at 1 year old.
Thanks for that info.....so does that mean they have reached adulthood at that age as well or not? I am sorry to be asking so many questions but that was one question that bothered me on the test...lol....
IMost birds get their red-tail in the first moult. But I've seen one hawk that had feathers that looked somewhat immy-ish for his first moult. So, occasionally, you'll get a red-tail that wont get the red-tail until it's second moult. Yes, I did use the CHC study guide for my tests =P Thanks for the compliment wes, very appreciated!
