Thanks...so it looks like I more than likely got that question wrong....ok one more thing for ya Falcon Girl...when they sent you back your test how long did it take for you to get it? Also what do they send it in (ex: regular envelope or what?) and if you dont pass the first time is it just the test with your grade or info how when/how to re-take it? And when you do pass my conservation agent here told me that they would send a packet with my test telling me what to do next.....any info would be awesome...you can PM if thats easier for you but I am tired of waiting for the test and then having the mailman not bring it... ...lol...thanks...sorry to keep bothering you with questions...lol...
Okay, happy to help =) It took me a couple weeks to get back my test reslts each time. They sent it in a regular envelope, I think..dont take my word for it though! If you dont pass the first time, you have to wait 60 days to retake it. You can retake it by just scheduling another date with your conservation officer to take the retake exam =). When I got my test results back...that's all I got back. no packet =P. After I passed my test, I found an awesome sponsor, followed his instructions, got my equipment and facilities built, passed the equipment/facilities inspection, and sent in my application for my federal and state permits. Haha you sound like me waiting on the mail man to bring me my falconry supplies I just ordered...it's like...I want them now! lol! Oh hey, I think we might be visiting Pitt State! I'd love to PM you about meeting up or something!

Yeah I am going to the MFA metting...I already told Tom to sign me up to help with whatever they need me to do....he kept telling me how they needed help so I finally gave in...lmao....I told my boss about you today and she seems really excited about meeting you....the birds are great...our barred owl and harris hawk are a bit old (15 and 25 years) and are rather cranky at times....as well as our bald eagle who is about 27 years old...lol....but our RTH is a doll....anyways I hope you go to the MFA picnic...hopefully by then you have come to visit Pitt State...what weekend/weekday are you guys looking into coming up to tour?
awesome! It feels weird when people are excited about meeting you...its a good weird feeling though And we're still planning vacation, but I'll ask mydad tonight which weekend he has in mind to go up to Pitt State. I REALLY wanna go see it =) Oh, just wondering, is it required to live on campus your first year, or not?

I am not for sure on if they require you to live on campus your first year. I went to an all girls private college for my first two years of colleg. When you come to visit you could talk to them about it and if they do require you to live on campus you could always talk to them about you being a falconer and that you will have a bird and everything ....I am assuming you are going to be active during college...then you and I could go hunting....my teacher out there lives on 200 acres of pure rabbit/squirrel hunting land and cannot wait for hunting season to start so I can get those "damn rabbits" that eat all of her garden stuff...lol. So I am sorry I could not help you out more in that aspect.... and also I know what you mean when its odd when people want to meet you...its always awkard but there are no other falconers down where I live and its just awesome to meet some who have experience...seeing as I am a newbie at this...lmao!!!!
lol! those "darn rabbits" dont have a prayer but thats okay, if I go up there I'll be sure to ask about it. I'd love to keep doing falconry throughout my college years, and it would be awesome if I could keep a bird on campus! Haha I love to meet pre-apprentices, and hopefully new apprentices =D!

lol...i dont think we would have that problem there...lol....but who knows...but if you go into bio. at Pitt then you would be top dog on campus to be able to have your own hawk...lmao....its a tight knit place in the bio. dept...lol...what are you thining of going into? I am majoring in pre-fisheries and wildlife and minoring in spanish and maybe chem...we will see about the last...but hopefully you could talk to them about keeping a hawk there...i know for a fact they a TON of old sheds that you could re-do into a good mews...
omg...a good shed converted into a mews would be AWESOME! The only problem is that I'd have to get a Kansas falconry permit, lol =P and that's awesome that you guys are a tight knit group! I'm hoping to go into Wildlife Conservation or something up that alley, or something else, lol! I'm really hoping to get into a nice college where I can keep a bird and continue my dreams.
THanks for talking to them for me, and good luck in your major and minor!
