For the interior walls of a my mews, I was thinking about using OSB, is this ok or do I need to paint it or cover the walls with shower board or coroplast, thanks
I think it mostly has to do with personal preface and ease of cleaning. Coroplast actually sounds like a good idea, if you could get it cheap enough. I think my sponsor just painted the inside of his with several coats of white paint over the OSB walls. Personally, I wouldn't go with bare OSB. I would be virtually impossible to clean without turning the OSB to mush.
My son used osb in his chamber. White wash will stain osb and you can't get it out very well. Repeated spraying with disinfectant or bleach water makes it swell and separate. I covered my mews in coroplast. It's flemsy, but it cleans nicely and is very easy to work with. The best thing about coroplast is that it becomes abundant and free about every two years. All those political signs have to go somewhere. I have been lucky enough to get sheets that have only been printed on one side, so my mews are white instead of red white and blue with donkeys and elephants all over them. When bought outright it costs about $17-18 per sheet in our area. Shower surround sheets are about $10. If i had to pay for something, that's what i'd go with. You'll be happier with a cleaner mews if you cover it with something other than OSB.

the only shower board I can find has a dark brown layer of what looks like the material that they make peg boards out of on the back of a thin white layer, would this also absorb water ?
I would stay away from anything that is textured. Mutes will stick in the endentions. Go to your local building supply store and tell them you need a smooth surfaced, washable board. They'll have some that are plastic and some that are masonite/composite material. I wish i could think of the technical name of a board that i'm looking for, but i can't. If i find it on the web i'll post the link. In short, anything that is smooth and washable.
I think the shower board that Bob mentioned is like the little tile looking laminate that goes up on the walls of a shower to keep the drywall from getting wet.
Hehe..I use political signs on the inside of my mews. I swear all my birds are republican from viewing the signs everytime they are inside the mews.
Anyways!
The political signs work well for me. I nailed them up to the studs, and then taped the seams securely with heavy-duty tape. This summer, I did have to spend a few days to replace some of the tape and stuff, because after awhile the sticky-ness stops being, well, sticky! I also had to replace one sign that was right beneath the window. But that's it. I've cleaned my mews a few times, and this stuff held up to water and thinned-out bleach well. Now all I need is a dern bird to actually use these walls. Going trapping tomorrow morning!

lol I don't know if you can buy them, but my friend works for the republican party so he said he could get me them after November 2, but Its going to be hard to wait that long
Find out who ran for and lost the primaries in your area. Their signs are probably still up. They would love to have some one take them down for them. I checked with my sign printer friend, he said a 4 x 8 ft sheet of coroplast i, like 24 bucks a sheet in lots of 100. All you need to take them down from the road by yourself is a pair of diagonal cuters. I'll clip off the signs, pull the polls,, and take the poles back tp the candidate and keep all the signs i want for my mews. I usually keep a few extra for giant hoods etc. Even if they are signs for the "other" party, they're still worth slicing on!
