Yes, i know, my mew is not perfect. It is being rebuilt slowly but surely since it is not housing a bird at the moment.. It is 12ftx12ftx12ft, built into a pre-existing pole barn that has never contained hay or straw. Vertical bars all across the front, walls on the other sides. Door is on the right. I designed the mew for freelofting and teathering, my camera ran out of batteries so i will take pics of my perch holders later. The roof looks like it does becuase it is being replaced. The wire that you can see on the outsides of the barred area is only ouside the mew, not in it, to keep out little critters [the gap is a tad larger there, so i put that up to help keep things out. The black thing in the front left corner is astro turf from when i had the redshoulder teathered, i never got around to picking it up [it was placed infront of the perch, flat like the ground to prevent dulling of the talons. Any questions let me know!

Ethics make the individual, not the other way around.
I noticed you mentioned never having straw or hay in barn. In reference to threat of Aspergilliosos I assume.
I have kept a lawn clipping compost file for several years, in the shady part of my yard where I intend to build my mews. My thought was to douse the ground good with some clorox solution in preparation for the mews there. Do you think that will be good enough?
lol im up the same boat... i say.. move the clippings SOON... and there is spose to be some type of chemical that can dispose of Aspergillosos.. theres a thread on it...
