We had a few problems getting the stones chiselled to fit, but the gargoyles look fantastic!
LMAO!!! ;D

You guys were nicer than me. I just built it. It isn't a bad looking building. It certain isn't as nice as Hosehead's sounds. I only had one comment on it. My neighbor asked if i had a building permit. I said "no", and he laughed and walked a way ;D. (Knocking on wood furiously!)
Now that it's built I can laugh about it. If you ever have to deal with the building nazi's it's annoying at best. I actually had one up on my property measuring stumps to make sure I hadn't cut any tree's over 6" in dia. without a permit.
Oh I think I understand, Its one of those problems you incounter when you live in the city. They regulate what you can build on YOUR PROPERTY. He's talking about he cannot exceed his building permit I think.
Ok for all you rednecks out there in texas...
In some cities there are housing developments where, when buy a house there, you must join the housing commitee (its called a bunch of different things.) It is a group of people who live in the neighborhood/housing devlopment that determine the rules of living there.
Its a cute little mini government BLECK!!!!
Basically its started to make sure people take care of thier lawn and don't park huge campers in front of other peoples houses, but quite frequently turns into what Horse is talking about. I have seen developments that have limited what you could add to your property. Its lame and IMO run by puritans.
They want the neighborhood to look like Pleasantville, or Beaver Cleavers neighborhood.
[glow=purple,2,300]Agh! Home owner association! I dislike ours. When I was getting an inground pool, we had to get approved. Then the inspecator came out times, 1 in the morning (7:30), 2 in th afternoon, and 1 in the evening as my family sat down for dinner. When we first moved in we were taking out a dead tree, and 2 people form the home owners committee asked us if we had a permit from the committee for taking the tree out. ITS DEAD! (you think they would be happy to get rid of the eye sore! nope) By the way, can you upload some pictures of your mew? Sounds really nice. ;D[/glow]
Never settle.

Man that would suck--I like living outside the city limits where when we park that worn out vehicle where it can become a nesting place for Hawk bait and you dont have to worry about mowing under it. They would probably complain about the little house OUT in the back we have to visit so often after our latest visit to the Mexican restaurant. And the yellow spots in the grass next to the pourch railings. Now thats living!!-Jim
Dodge Truck,Blue Dog,Treed Coon dont get much better!
hey i have one question, do mews need heating in the winter (we have cold winters) our new barn is gonna be heated so i want to know if i should a put it on the out side of the barn or use the walls in the in-side
I think i read in a jemima perry jones book about cold weather and raptors. the usual problem is frost bite on the wing. You would think it would be the feet, but its usually the wing.
More info, where do you live, and how cold does it get there?
