Last week I left a message with our conservation dept with a question about my upgrade. While I was at work Monday a woman named Lisa called my wife to answer my questions. She gave Vicki the info and said she'd send out what was needed. Today she called and said that recently they received a letter from USF&WS that falconers must have a bird two years before they can upgrade. Since I had released my bird in May thinking I just needed two full seasons I would have to wait till spring to upgrade. While I was talking to her I explained my conversations with the feds earlier this spring stating that they had told me two seasons she stated that she would check into it personally. Within ten minutes she called back and stated that everything had been cleared up and I could upgrade. Anyway, I'm posting this because with all the negatives that have happened recently I'd like to commend a lady named Lisa who went out of her way to help me.Kurt
Kurt, your lucky. Most of them are horrible people and don't care about us small minorities. Falconry is at the far end of "normal" when it comes to state/federal licenses so we are easier to harass than others. I'm glad you had such a good experience!
