i would think any larger falcon with good footing if they could get ahold of the neck or head it would be over fast and size wouldnt matter so much. idk just a thought
I know a person in Vancouver who is having great success using a male bald eagle. Geese have mob mentality thou. If incountered as a group they will band together to attack the incrouching preditor.
try a african hawk eagle, but they do mob, so if you want to save your bird you have to be fast. i know jack hubley flies his golden on geese and foxes
2010 season: Firefly- daisy cutting rhab peregrine, problem child Caspian- tiercel lanner, and hopefully a high flying killer
A Canada Goose could cause damage to a gos with it's wings, so I would say a golden eagle would probably be the best bird to take them. Having said that, I have known some-one to have success at greylag geese with a large female peregrine.
A people who would trade liberty for security will end up losing both & deserving neither.
"...no hobby should either seek or need rational justification. To find reasons why it is useful or beneficial converts it at once from an avocation into an industry, lowers it at once to the ignominious category of an exercise undertaken for health, power or profit." -Aldo Leopold
