Who on here has telemetry and what is your setup? I have a mini 10 receiver that I bought used and the 1/3n transmitter from Merlin Systems, it is a very good trans, you can't beat the price, and the costumer service is great.
I have 2 mini 10 receivers and L&L transmitters along with several Merlins and 1 Marshall transmitter. I just ordered a mini transmitter from Merlin for the tiercel falcon. Merlin and L&L are really great to work with.
I've got a Tracker Maxima receiver and a mini-10 for backup and I use a Wildlife Materials transmitter that I got at last years MI falconry picnic. I like it all, and so far everything has worked well. -Joe
I am using a Communication Specialists reciever and it is perfect for shortwinging and it comes stock. I have used it many times and it has never failed me yet. Plus it picks up all frequencies in 216,217,218 and I think 219 range all for $400 Transmitters are A Marshall Micro(old model) LF-1 LF-3 1/3N
Eagles may soar, but weasels don't get sucked into jet engines "Give a man a fish, and you'll feed him for a day; give him a religion................ and he'll starve to death while praying for a fish."
The Communication Specialists R-400 is getting good reviews it seems. Especially from the short wingers that really don't need a far range. I have talked with the company and you can extend the range buy buying a 3-5 element yagi antenna. The only problem is that you will have to pick a antenna for the frequencies you want. Its th antenna the determines how many or what frequencies you pick up and I have yet to see a yagi that will pick them all up.-Zach
I used to think i knew some things. But i'm not so sure anymore.
