Really? I thought your prices were quite low there when i was in london Eagle heights, while i did not like the centre, had decent prices on equipment, have you check with them?

The guys in the US have to work as long or longer to buy a glove. It's just that the GBP is the strongest currency in the world right now. If you can order it from the US and get it delivered you can get a deal but for the guys in the US its not the same.
Not absolutly sure, but I think Sportsman's Guide will ship internationally. Wouldn't want to try to quote prices. For those who don't know, Sportman's Guide is an outlet store in Minnesota. They have great deals on hunting clothing, surplus, just about anything. I just bought a pair of $110. Bates desert boots, G.I. issue new for $50. Not as hot here as in Iraq, but Southern Idaho is about as dry. Boots are real comfortable. Look to be great hawking boots. Never been dissatisfied with these folks.

Remember that if you get gear sent to you in th U.K. you may be subject to paying tax on it before the post office will deliver, or H.M.Customs may not release it too you before duty is paid on said item/s. My mate ordered boots from Cabellas & got stung for tax, it worked out the same price as he would have paid back home ( U.K. ) Yeh you're right the clobber here is cheaper especially with the exchange rate, I suppose your best bet is flying over & going berserk in one of the outdoor sporting goods stores. Falconry gear, its all " swings & roundabouts " . I paid $50 U.S. to a welder for knocking up a rotating ring perch ( the ring perch was a childs bike wheel with the spokes removed ) & I provided the bars & spike. It's not what you know but who ! The grass isn't always greener manok
