I got my Ohaus Dial-O-Gram triple beam off of Ebay. Matt M. highly recommended it and so I price shopped and got mine for about $50 I think. I got it last year. I also have a cheap digital that I added a pvc T-perch to for weighing the bigger birds.
I'd like to get a small accurate one for traveling after I get my Kestrel. For AKs you need accuracy to 1/10 grams.

i am getting a royal ex5 scale from old will knott for $29.90 + $7.90 shipping and it goes up to 5.3 lbs in pounds ounces and grams and it has a tare function i would recommend itto anyone that is low on money
KD-600.....$50 bucks with a removable SS top that a solid perch can be attached. comes with A/c ad apter and battery power. Also comes with screen protectors and an extendable base for stability(comes in handy) Lots of folks are using this scale now unless you plan on flying a Kes, this is the way to go for an RT.
