My apprentice has a Communications Specialists model R-400A receiver that gives an equal signal over 180 degrees of motion/rotation when operator is facing the transmitter. There is no specific point of a stronger, differentiated signal. In opposite direction there is an consistently weak signal for 180 degrees, no false or shadow signal in opposite direction of transmitter. I consulted the manual, and followed operation instructions. I welcome any help, or reference to anyone who could bench test the receiver. I called the 800 number, the company is out of business, owner retired. A few searches gave me the impression it was a decent receiver, users commented positively about the ones they were using. Thanks in advance for any information.
