I personally wouldn't risk it. Lots of bugs and other bacterial issues that can go wrong with raw pork. I use deer and bison heart for training tidbits but not as a nutritional staple.

I would not use pork either for the same reasons as echotadog mentioned. I use beef heart mostly for tidbits. To change things up I have also used chicken neck ran through a meat tenderizer to crush the bones. Of course all this is only when I did not have game in the freezer.

Got it. I had thought pork was a no-go but making sure I was right about it before I passed on cheap meat. I am not about to take chances getting my hawk sick to safe a buck. Thanks for everyone's responses! I am so grateful for this platform to ask these kinds of questions without feeling too stupid :-)
