I have made a leash and some jesses out of paracord. However, I have been starting to research dacron and was interested in making some equipment using that, but I am unsure of what to buy or where a good place to buy it from. I was especially interested in using dacron for my creance. What size pound test would be good to get for the creance? Would I need a smaller pound test for the jesses and or leash if I was going to braid it?

We usually buy our Dacron through fishing supply stores, such as Cabelas. I've never used it as a creance for a big bird, but I have with merlins/kestrels.
For jesses/leashes we use a 6 or 12 strand braid. The weights we have been using are listed here: cazadorleather.com/braided-gear/ The weights listed are not the additive weight, in other words, on the micro size leashes, each individual strand is 100lb break strength.
