I have a GQF Incubator that I bought on Craigslist for $200 and it will hatch something like 1200 quail eggs at a time. I love it! I've never hatched BWs but I used to raise lots and lots of coturnix quail.

They seem quite content. I like that they actually get to scratch around and look for food. If you decide to release them later on the farm i bet that gives them an advantage over being raised on wire.

Oh , she's a beast ... Her pops might chime in here about her . Her Names Delta like the passenger plane for a reason 2 seasons prior to last he had some issues with terrible squirrel bites that got pricey fast so he set out last sept to trap a monster that wouldn't be as bothered by the inevitable bite . Her trapping story is pretty intense ( had to be trapped twice ) . When we got her off the trap I was stunned by those tree trunk Cankles she has . I thought our removeable anklets weren't going to fit.
