Well, I'm getting close to being done with my mews. (Don't look too close at my carpentry skills.) This building has been "recycled" a couple of times now. It was built originally as a living room (?) attached to a mobile home. When I bought the property I had a big loader pick it up and move it to the back of my lot and used it to keep the horses hay from getting wet. (better than tarps!) had to get rid of the horses a couple of years ago, so it was storage for the lawn tractor. Last years I made a mews out of it but I didn't like it sitting on a concrete slab also I didn't like the bars I had put on the windows. I used wood slats and I found out that if you free loft and a bird tries to get out thru the wood slats it can injure it cere. So last month my brother and my husband moved it once again, off of the cement onto the dirt. It makes an 11x11 mews with a 4x11 work room/entry. I still have to get astoturf for the perches and work on the weathering area. but I'm getting there.

Thanks Charles. There are actually 2 dogs in the pic. one is my cheagle ( who the heck would breed a chihuahua with a beagle on purpose )and the other is my 6 mo. old (purebred) beagle. They both love to chase the bunnies . I'm working on getting a bird (don't want to jinx myself) but if not, I got a new dho-gazzo and plan on going after a Prairie this fall ( are you ready?). are you going to fly a coop's this year?
How cool!! Yea im gonna fly a coops or should i say try a coops..lol. I am all set to go trappin in oregon as soon as time allows. Leigh is set on getting a Harris this fall if and when the apprentice regs allow. Should be a fun season.
