Ok so I just got my permit for trapping a passage coops(here in nc they are a species of concern). As it stands now I'll mostlikely be moving to georgia in about 2 years. I need any idea for the cheapest possible mews hopefully that portable that meet's the regs. The bird will spend little if any time in it.

I'm sorry, but you said "it's impossible" when you really meant "I don't know how yet".

lol how bout the nc regs since that's where I am.
A. Mews: Minimum size to allow easy access A secure door that can be easily closed At least one window with window perch Away from undue disturbance and shade provided All windows have vertical bars inside spaced narrower than the bird's body Floor permits easy cleaning and is well drained Adequate perches provided Interior free of splinter, protuding nails, etc. Light fitures shielded
B. Weathering Area Fenced and covered with netting, wire mesh, or rooofed, except perches that are more than 6 1/2 feet high need not be covered or roofed. Floor allows adequate drainage. Atleast 2 perches provided Includes structure (jump box, "A" frame, etc.) Secured leash allows easy access to all perches and bath Secured leash will not allow contact with fence Areas accessable are free of splinters, nails, etc.
C. Environmental protection Facilities singly or in combination, provide adequate protection to the raptor from: Excessive heat High winds and winter storms Avian and ground predators Disturbances which would likely cause injury
My current idea is a 10X10 dog kennel with netting on top witha either a jump box or "A" frame.

This makes no sense to me.
I'd go with the weathering area too, especially for a passage anyway. You can make one in an evening that has panels that come apart for easy moving. Mine is like that. There's a picture of it on here somewhere.

John here in NC they are concidered a species of concern so we need to get special permits to trap them.
I know what you're saying, it just doesn't make any biological sense to me that coopers are a species of concern there. I think a while back someone here in KY wanted to do something like that with the sharpy till those guys in western KY took someone out and showed them a bunch of nests in a day.
i plan on doing like in your pic but putting in a jump box
Can't comment on the jump box since I've never had one, but the weathering area is made to come apart. It has 4 side panels and 2 roof panels. Only thing I'd do different is make the roof sloped somehow.
No, it's that translucent corrugated plastic you can buy at Lowe's or Home Depot. I've since added another conduit going across to hold up that sag a bit. The roof really should be sloped though.
I need to give my old sponsor the credit for coming up with the design. He built his then helped me build mine. I've moved mine once, and he just moved his a couple weeks ago.
