I am lining my mews with chloroplast (corrugated plastic) and was wondering is one color better than another.
Is it better to have a hospital white or a darker green? What would make the bird more comfortable? My sponsor suggested white as the mutes wouldn’t show but I was wondering if the bird might feel exposed in an all white environment. I was thinking green. We thought we would throw this idea out to the forum and see what you all thought.
The chamber 8x8 lined attached to an open 8x8 weathering area.
Another question. The chamber is covered and the flooring is pea gravel, but should I line the weathering area with pea gravel or grass. I am concerned with the heat radiated of from the gravel here in Texas.
I agree with hawkstir. That is my setup and works great. I go in the mews at night and I can not tell the walls are white. I was thinking white would not allow the mews to be dark, but unless you have a light shining on the walls it is plenty dark. I think you would regret painting the walls any other color.
