I'd be worried about the dimensions, unless your planning to freeloft. With Nina i had to figure out a creative way for her to not hit the sides in bate and mine is 8x8. If you're free lofting that should be fine.
My mew is 8x8, as is my weathering area...and my bird never touched the walls when bating.....i don't see how they could unless you made their leash too long. But yeah, a 6x7? Thats a bit small. What kind of bird?

The "cube" is for freelofting and I'll add-on a protected weathering area
As Trapping my bird is illeagal here , (Which is a shame...a female Rt is currently picking-off the cottontails that hang out at some "condo's!" I made for them) I'll most probably buy a 2007 male Harris Hawk.
I saw on the modern Apprentice that corner shelves can ruin feathers... does that happen when when the shelf is too small (not enough room) ?

No that happens because reguardless of the size, when the bird turns around it runs its train and even the sails along the wall which breaks them. On the other hand, I have a shelf perch inside one of my 3 mews that is against the wall, but not in the corner. Having it out of the corner, I have never had a problem.

yeah the size is a bit small for my taste but there are people that do it..
i am originally from alaska and i know about the cold that canada gets as we.. personally id never fly a harris that far north. there has got to be someone that breeds red tails there that would be a better bird. what about a gos? or is trapping totally illegal there?

In quebec, Trapping is forebidden. A RedTail would also be a good choice but breeders are few. I know of people in Quebec who own Harris' and they do well in winter (good weight maintained and no frostbitten toes). So yes, I'm in between a Rt or a HH in my choices.
As for size of the cube... I can't manage bigger at the moment. I would of liked to make it 10'x10'x10' but that will be for an other day.
A shelf perch but not in a corner.... check! Thanks Eddie.
