Ok. so i know im new. but i talked to my parents and i might just be geting into falconry sooner then i thought. but they wanted to see if i was really into it. so i drew up a picture of what i might want my mews to look like. give all advice. good or bad. please.
you don't want to use chicken wire, you want to use welded wire, the windows could be a bit bigger. But it's a good start. Don't have your mews be static, constantly change your design.
Yes Sir! thanks for the advice! now ive read up on mews. its true that they need a dark corner. true? and is it ok to do the wall that opens up into the W.A.? cause i really liked that. also should i have a bigger "two door system"?
some places, two-doors are required by law, like in CA. it's a regulation. The big door system i suppose would work, but i dunno i'd be afraid of damage... you can make it fancy but I made mine very simple. some other mews designs can be found at: www.themodernapprentice.com/mews.htm.. Just remember the more parts a gadget has, it's more likely to break, meaning the more complex your mews becomes, the more problems you'll have.

You'll lose a lot of space in your weathering yard (for perches, bathpan, ect.) with a door that large, unless you aren't planning to open it all the way. you don't want anything to be in the way when you open the door, (especially the hawk!)
It could be just the perspective, but it looks a little to big to be practical to me.
just my 2 cents
other that that it looks good
