Hey, can an apprentice trap during the summer trapping season? Or is that only for generals? My bird was killed and I'm itching, REALLY itching to have another one. Much appreciated.
No, The season you are talking about is reserved for general an master falconers. The summer/spring take is for eyas and branchers which only the falconers above can take. You'll have to wait for the fall and the passage take season. Sorry-Zach

Not likely in time for you to have one as an apprentice.
Arizona is pretty notorious for having more strict laws for taking raptors than other states according to a conversation I just had with the feds in our region.

i heard there would be a law about apprentices being able to be 12 if it is real when will it take affect im dying to get a bird right now im just catching training and releasing starlingsand sparrows
