Plenty of rolling hills with wide patches of grass and brush and tall trees spaced out through out the grass rows. Plenty of cottontails and pheasants. Temp. currently; 26 with light snow.
I just thought I'd throw an introduction in as well, been lurking on the site for some time. I live in the tri-state area of SD NE IA, all within 10 min drive of my home. I've been slowly reading and studying on the subject for about 4 yrs now, just now to the point where I will be able to devote the time needed to it. Needless to say at this point pretty anxious about finding people in my area. Iowa seems pretty desolate on raptor enthusiasts unless you live around the desmoines or davenport area. Anub IFA (iowa falconry assoc) has a website the secretary for memberships email is dfarms@pionet.net or you can contact Steve Dermand (IA Dept of Natural Resources) he could probably help you out as well
