I moved to San Diego County a month ago and would like to find some local falconers to go out hawking with once in a while. I don't think I'm going to be getting a bird this year but need to get my fix somehow. I'm living in Valley Center and work in SD. Please drop me an email if you wouldn't mind having someone tag along. Thanks!
hey there i live in crest, its near el cajon, you can come along with me if you like, or if you know any good spots out in valley center that would be cool too let me know.

Hello everyone, This is my first post on this forum. Anybody Near Santa Barbara/ San Luis Obispo County??? So many RT's and Kestrels here even seen a couple Kites. I am currently studying for my exam(CHC Apprentice Study Guide). Have been waiting over 3 months for a falconry packet from DFG. I've called them twice!! I would definitly enjoy meeting other apprentices/falconers in my area.

i am in castaic and we hunt in bakersfield at least once a week... i have been to san luis obispo my aunt used to live there. im not sure how far it is from tehachipi but there is great jack hunting out there if you do get a red-tail
Bakersfield isn't too far from me. I have been in the search of local hunting areas and im starting to get discouraged...I originally wanted a RT but i dont know if any local fields produce plentiful amounts of quarry (ie squirrels/rabbits) Is this a problem or can i just simulate prey with the use of a lure. I have a riverbed that has just a ton of jackrabbit poop all over the place. They gotta be in there somewhere, Right? Only problem is there are not too many tall trees and im afraid of the hawk deciding to fly off.
Hello All, im not really looking for a sponsor at this moment in time, but instead someone who would be willing to show me what it takes to practice falconry. I live in the Sonoma area, but am in Orange County for my winter break ill be down for about a month, so if anyone from either area would be willing to show me the ropes it would be greatly appriciated. Thanks
im from the valley and no im not a mamber of chc yet...i been into hawks and falcon's since i was young they amaze me i wanted to see them in action before i get reallie into the sport thats why...im looking to find some falconers they welling to let me see them fly there raptors..
