I purchased 6 female and two male fancy mice today to get a feeder colony started so when I get my bird I already have a good food supply for it. Plus any excess that I get between now and then the pet store said that they would buy them back for .50 cents a piece. I also bought some very thin climbers rope and a couple of swivels and made a leash and jesses. So I'm on my way and I can't wait for next season to get my little K-bird so I can start harassing the local sparrow and starling population. ;D
P.S. Will a k-bird eat a whole mouse a day or am I gonna have to cut em up?

Well good luck on breeding of those mice of yours. When I tried to breed my own mice I had the worst luck you could ever believe. I think out of 5 litters only two survived the first two days of their life. The mom seemed to think it was in the best interest of the babies to be eaten by her. That is the same reason I have switched to breeding rats.
Though I may try again breeding the little devils since I two will be getting a Kestrel as my first bird.
On a little side note nice to see another person from Oregon on this forum.
I know where Philomath is, I've been through there many times. I'll pm you my sponsors name since I don't think he'd appreciate having it posted online.
