www.vitahawk.com/ This is the best supplement. As for meds, you can get some basics from Northwoods to treat frounce but the rest need to come from a vet or a rehabber. I'm not sure about the legalities of this though.
Eagles may soar, but weasels don't get sucked into jet engines "Give a man a fish, and you'll feed him for a day; give him a religion................ and he'll starve to death while praying for a fish."
I just use it during the hunting season. During that time she is not getting as varied a diet so I want to give her the proper nutrients.

Feeding a whole carcass diet is obviously best, but I religiously use a very small portion of vita hawk with almost every feeding. I have never had a single medical or health problem until last summer and WNV. I had given her the eqine vaccine I believe it mittigated her symptoms and allowed for quicker recovery.

Wow, am I hearin right that you gave a hawk the equine WNV vaccine *after* she contracted and it worked?
Anyway, I was looking around for vitamins b/c most books say they're a good idea; I ran across Vitahawk of course, and also A-1 Raptor, and Raptor Essentials from birdcareco.com. Vitahawk's site kinda put me off since they don't provide any kind of analysis- maybe they would have supplied it on demand if contacted though, can't say as I just kept looking elsewhere. I contacted the makers of A1-Raptor and was entirely ignored, so much for them. I also contacted the makers of Raptor Essentials and was responded to admirably; they're cool people and very knowledgable, so when it comes time to get vitamins I'm going with them. And I think they're less expensive than Vitahawk too, even with the overseas shipping :] Checkemout: www.birdcareco.com/English/Product_information/All_year_products/Raptor_product_list/raptorlist.html
That's a very interesting site, they seem to carry a wide range of products. Thanx for sharing. I might have to try one of their products out on my conures as well.

Sorry for the mistake, I gave her the equine vaccine months before she contracted it. In hopes of keeping this thread alive Weasel and I took our birds to vet yesterday and he asked us both if use "vitahawk". I have used it religiously for a decade now on almost every feeding is it "nesassary" maybe not with the best diet is it beneficial you bet. My bird deserves the best I can give. We have one of the premier raptor vets in the US within 45min of us my falconry would not be the same without him. His name is Greg Moore. Yarak
