The UQROP (in French, Québec' Union for the rehabilitation of birds of prey) is a very large rehab center, hosted by the university of Montréal faculty of veterinary medicine. They care for over 300 BOP each year, mostly wild injured birds and some falconry birds. Here is a nice collection of videos they made that are showing, step by step, how to give fluides to a bird via crop intubation, how to make a figure-8 and a body bandage and how to care for a superficial wound. The videos are in French, but they are very slow and detailed so even if you don't understand teh language, they are of a great help. You just have to click on the 3 links in the middle of the page.
Here are videos that detail the complete physical exam of a bird of prey. The video with the longest title is a resume of all the smaller ones, put together.
Only watched the first one but it was good. The only thing that I didn't like was the fact that they didn't show a close up of inside the mouth. It seems to me like someone with good intentions would try this based only on the video but insert the tube into the esophogus instead.

Yes you are right, they talk about it very extensively but don't show the entrance of the trachea.
Everything I hold in my hands today could be only a memory tomorrow. Carpe Diem.

if you want to find out where to insert the tube the best way ive found to look into the mouth of the bird is when they are open mouth breathing and breathing heavily its very easy to see the opening to the treachia which is at the base of the tounge. if you ever do tube a bird you stick the tube down the right side of their throat in the back and you should be able to feel the tube go into the crop if not you are in the wrong spot its pretty easy tho after you do it once just make sure you have a person to hold the bird and if you in doubt just get help. after you see it and do it once its simple the first time i tried it i was terrified i would do it wrong and then u open the mouth and ur like duh thats obvious.
for the wrap on the wing what would you use that for not a break it would be able to move more of a sprain or was it for a wound and used as the dressing on it? i really wish i took french now insted of latin in school lol
