I am going to be making a hawking bag, but I need to know what features it should/shouldn't have. I know the basics, but I would appreciate your input as well. Now you all have hawking bags, (I'm assuming). Which things do you really like? Which things do you really dislike? And which would you change?
Oh, and by the way, this is for an RT.

One of these days I'll find the time to get a permit... until then, all of you better keep the pics and stories comming!
Personally, i like belt style bags. Mine is a belt, with three bags around it, one on each side, and a big one in the back. The flaps are snap shut on the front, and velcro in the back, and the back bags opening also self closes. Personally, i love this bag, the only thing i would modify is possibly split one of the front pouches so that it was a two in one deal to stay a bit more organized.

I Use a old US Army Mail Carrier bag. Cost me $15-20 my Army Surplus store.
I Use the Bullet Straps to hold my Jess's
I like it because its big enough to put an entire Pheasant in comfortably, and it has two pouch's that allow me to seperate the tools ( lure, leash, etc ) from the food, and has a flap over the top to prevent my raptor from seeing the hidden food.
I had to sew some rings on the back so I could wear it on my belt because it was originally to be worn like a sash. I also added some velcro on the flap instead of using the buttons it has to snap it shut. I also added a Climbing clip to hang my hoods off of.
Would something like a modified fishing vest work? They have TONS of pockets and areas to keep stuff, the only problem I see would be in carrying larger game.
