Some of us have all delt with this before and it really is not the coolest thing to deal with but it happens. Some of us have also had issues with a squrel getting into the mews or just a little too close to the mews windows. The latter is what happened to me a few days ago.
I went to the mews to see Tana for the morning. nothing out of the norm but then to a closer look i noticed one of her toes where swollen. She wouldnt keep still enough for me to see from outside so i decided to go in. When i got in i noticed Squirel hair all over the floor of the mews. I thought , oh crap thats wild. It took me a couple tries to get tana on the fist, she is a little wild now and is hard to deal with being fat and all. after i got her on the fist i noticed that the toe was actually swollen more than i thought. It was a bite! So i took her out side after i hooded her up and went to the house to clean it with iodine and epson salt. she let me clean it up good with no trouble. the cut was Proximal Distal so the danger of lasarating the tendon was minimal. After a few days now the swelling is still there but it is down a bit. I figure it will take a good week or more to do so. Anyhow, no one has posted pics of this on the site that i know of so ill do it so you can see what it looks like.
First are 2 of the toe bitten.
And this one is of the opposite foot and what the toe should look like.
And one full shot so Tana can get her 15 minutes of fame. lol
