My HH today had 3 good sized rabbits so i can't grumble but i am going too
He has a great habit of taking all prey by the head which has been greatly in his favour many times. He takes Feather in the head as well......So why Grumble?
Well if he starts on a long tail chase he wants to take it by the head so he chases it and swoops up at the last minute to dive on its head. Well off coarse the Bunny does a Ballroom Sidestep and Bert ends on his Beak. If in these occasions he hanged on to its tail then gets it by its head then no problem. He is only a first year MHH so perhaps he might learn. He lost two rabbits today when he could have brought them down by their arse.
Little grumbles i know but when he pumps his wings catches up and its all over he swoops up and looses it.. Very annoying for me but mostly for him.
In every conceivable manner, the family is link to our past, bridge to our future.

Its all learned behavior. My bird showed much more discrimination early on but now ANY part she can grab she will. She takes more bites now because of it but she also takes more head. My money is on Bert grabbing anywhere by the end of the season. Yarak
If a man does not keep pace with his companions, perhaps it is because he hears a different drummer. Let him step to the music he hears, however measured or far away
