Joined today. Was running my 16 month Vizsla in a retention pond for daily (required) exersize. She usually gets over 100 snipe up out of the 5 acre portion of the wetland but no birds rose. She went on point, flushed 2 snipe which were immediately dove at by a red shouldered hawk. I figured out that the hawk had all the snipe laying low and as Tikka continued to hunt and point the snipe, the hawk kept diving at the flushed birds. The hawk rested on a very large steel highwire pole and, on attempt #5, snatched a snipe after diving from the high line pole. I think we accidently had a good hunt. Really cool.
