Hi all. Ive been lurking for a few years, and I finally have a question for you.
I'm working with a wildlife rehabber in Michigan, and we get a lot of GHOs. The vet that runs the place expressed an interest in owl hoods for examining the injured.
I seem to remember someone mentioning a few people who made owl hoods. I cant find anything, so the threads may be buried, or I could be crazy...
Does anyone know someone who does this kind of work?
Yes, it has been tried. Call Mike from Mike's Falconry. i talked to him about this years back. Back then he said it did not work out due to the owl's head shape with the eyes in the front.
Thanks Sadiehawk and Tyler 1998! I will make an abba. I was looking for hoods because most of our owls come in with wing damage, but that little apparatus will make dealing with our less "cuddly" raptors muuuuch easier.

I would like to make contact with the falconer in CA that killed 370 rabbits in 4 seasons with his GHO, referenced in a post by scfalconry in May of 2006!
