I've wanted a Brittany for a long time now. I was planning on getting one in a few years, but after knowing I was going to loose my previous dog Stella, I started looking around. I found a really nice breeder about one hour north of me. All her dogs are both field and show dogs. She had just had a litter of puppies born March 5th, 2010. The Sire is a Dual Champion and the Dam has her show championship and a junior Hunter title. I decided to get one of the puppies and picked up my new pup April 27th.
His registered name is Shiloh's Light My Fire. His call name is Flynt. I plan on using him in Falconry and competing with him in field trials, hunt tests, obedience, agility, dock diving and weight pull.
He is lots of fun, has a great nose, very bold and is very smart. He should be perfect for pointing/flushing doves and ducks for my falcon. I can't wait.
He is 10weeks old tomorrow.

dear god thump your self on the nose for going to the dark side of falconry LOL. good looking dog though. I am sure you could use that dog for a good bird like an accip wink wink nod nod.
So it's been forever since I've updated but I have a big Brag to share.
Flynt turned 8months old just this last Friday and that weekend was our first ever field trial. He was entered in the Open Puppy Class which is judged based on their potential for being a future Field trialing dog. The pups must show a lot of "reach and drive" which is running far and wide as well as very fast and running very hard. They have to keep this up for 15minutes and they must also obey commands out in the field. It is a pointed event however only the 1st place winner gets any points towards a championship. There were 8dogs in his class and we got 3rd place! For a first ever trial for both of us! (I hardly even knew how to play the game!)
Flynt ran so well and listened perfectly even while 300+yrds out. I've only just started training him for this so I'm very excited for his next trial. The two dogs which beat him are dogs which are run and practiced with all the time. So I am very proud of my boy!
Hopefully December he will come home with a blue ribbon ;D
Here is a picture of Flynt, the breeders and myself with his ribbon.
