Been getting into a little (and I mean very little) rehab this summer.
Got a baby (brancher) harrier with a broken femur. The vet had done surgery and pinned the leg together. The rehabber I am subpermitted under suggested using Calcium-phosphate 6x tablets 2-3x/day with her food.
The claim of this "magic" heal-all was not disproved! Two of the rehabbers in my area has been using it for years for any kind of bone or joint ailment with amazing results. In less than 2 weeks, I brought the harrier back in for a checkup today and one side of the bone is completely healed and the other just has a tiny bit to go. We took one of the pins out today and the final one comes out next week.
If any of you have a bird that suffers a broken wing or toe...even a fractured talon I would suggest this stuff as part of your medicating.
