My Mini D has huge lump the area with no hair (nipples) in between two of the nipples. It gets progressively darer red as it get to the end and then theres a spot that looks like a puncture wound. It's not puffy but a big hard lump I am thinking it's an infection, but it's really hard, she didn't bark when I got off the bus and just waddled over before laying down by the stove. I called the vet but it they don't answer... Gonna keep trying. Any ideas of what it is? I didn't notice anything last night or this morning so it's happened within the last 8 hours

Possible hernia I would guess. Any signs on the skin of trauma like an abrasion, etc? If it wasn't there yesterday, it doesn't seem like it could be a tumor, they don't grow that fast. Good luck and keep us posted.
Here are some pictures... It is bigger than it looks and it has a weirdly shaped hard part and then it's soft all around it...
The vet hasn't answered So I may have ave to wait till tomorrow. She doesn't seem to be in terrible pain but she's definitely 'under the weather' so to speak.

It looks like a lick granuloma (hot-spot.) Has your dog been licking/bothering the area? If you did see a puncture wound, it is likely a sting/bite. Is your dog experiencing any other symptoms? (breathing difficulty, swelling face, etc?)
If your regular vet isn't getting back to you, you need to take your dog into another clinic ASAP.

That looks like it could be an abscess. If it is the vet will drain the puss with a sterile needle and possibly but her on antibiotics. Another thing it looks like is a bite from a brown recluse spider.
She will get to the vet this morning. She has no other places that are swelling I'll tell you all how it goes. She is licking away puss that coming out of the bite area, I fell asleep listening to the debate last night and she slept on my lap till about 11:00.

Ok well I took her to the vet and long story short, she's fine, the vet said it's just a puffed up Infection type thing he gave me some Oral antibiotics. It's gotten smaller and she's acting pretty much normal.

Right an abscess since my choice vet was out of town I had to take the new vets word for it, he said it was probably from her running in the brambles or more likely chewing on the barn cat (a chew toy that moves! ) The swelling is pretty much all gone so I'm confident nothing is stuck in there. I was pleasantly surprised the dog didn't have any reaction to the antibiotics.
