Here Go's The Shed I have to Work with was Built sometime Civil war Era. It Used to be a ICe house and IS somwhat Well Insulated, but Animals Have done alot of Chewing and It has Offically began To Sink into the ground... It really wouldn't Be to bad if we cleaned it out, JACKed it up and fixed all the Holes Put some windowes In AND INsulated it better o and Give it a New Floor and Foundation...
RIght Here is Part of it
Picturest... right Humm Now there is Two feet of snow so It is infact a little taller then it Looks and It sank about 3 inches into The Ground. WOW you are thinking This is gonna Be a project. why dosn't He build a NEw Building well... one my mom wants it REstored Two She said If i Restored it she would Help me Pay for it and THree It is Historical And Has a nice feeling about it.

Looks to me like you will have to build something else to store all that stuff in or toss it out.
The potential is there but that's not a project I would want to take on.\
P.S. - I'm glad I live in Florida.

ROFL yea It is a project. You florida people Dn't have to hideall your stuff we have to Put our stuff Somewhere or or it Rusts. We could probably fina place to put it I actually have a Playhouse, Two stories It's pretty much all built We ceased it About 6 years ago when me and my Bro lost interest. my only conern in that is won't have enough Room unless I Use both floors which Wouldn't work Cause Hawk going in the bottom one I get the Equips up top? but how dO I get to the bottom. Kind of a pain so this is my best choice

Looks do-able to me. Is it large enough to use half as a mew and the other end as a tack/scale room. How about some more photos when you have it cleaned out?
ye well thats the trick isn't it lol I am gonna Have to Find a place (probably the Barn) Hey just a random suggestion Would a Horse stall work? WE are getting rid of them because We have a 29 Year old Arabian stalion that Can't gain Weight we think It's cancer and Just waiting Till He starts getting Looking like he's Not happy and were putting him down, Since One horse isn't really very Fun we decided to Sell Kiwi Our daple I don't Know the breed it's my mom's fancy and I just ride a couple times a year.so No more Horse Stalls but they Have windows and Seems liek I could Just put some Boards and a window Up ( gonna post some Pics Of it later it's just REALLY COLD here -29.F last night and It's Below Zero now Pus I am Freezing To death from a Fruitless Rabbit hunt with my Sponsor. Didn't think a Damn rabbit could run 1 1/2 Mile and With 2-2 1/2 Ft of snow I ddin't Think I could Either. lol Hawkstir I will Try and Clean it out Somtime this Week/ month Get some Good Photo's I really liek the Building just A nice feeling to it. Umm I can't Verifiy this but I think I remember Reading somwhere that you cannot Have beams sticking out Obviously it is a good Idea But is it a Nessesity?

The horse stall question, it depends on the make. Also If it is a metal one it is almost better to sell those and get the profit off them. I was looking at used prefiert stalls the other day fetching $200-$600, sometimes more. The old shed...well yeah that is a large job. I can't imagine the beams being much of an issue if you cover them so they could be used as perches but if they are, I would find a way to fill them in. Also it looks like some nails are sticking through the roof, those probably need some attention.
Never settle.

I would be very wary of rotting, old wood. I am in the process of transforming a shed into a mews, and it has been a load of work, but the shed was very well built, with no signs of mold anywhere.
Jelly the horse stalls are Hand made, Wood, and Probably won't make anywhere near as much Work BUT the shed is closer to my house and will work better in the End I think. The nails sticking out are from a Old really Old roof that Will be Replaced. they are to hold numerous Scraps of Tin onto the Roof Somthing that would be gone Quickly replaced by a New Tin roof I think we have some extras from our Offife area. Really warm today would ahve gone to work on it but TO MY JOY i Am going Hunting again For the second time in a Row this week with my SPONSOR WOOOOOOOOOT so No go on the Shed. send some pictures of my Other Options

What the heck is all that white stuff?LOL!!! I think it has the potential of becoming a great mews....just needs alot of ....TLC?
Eagles may soar, but weasels don't get sucked into jet engines "Give a man a fish, and you'll feed him for a day; give him a religion................ and he'll starve to death while praying for a fish."
the White stuff O that's called... a Dusting round theses North country Parts. and It could also Be called Snow but that's for the Down staters... Lol just joking we all call it snow but I like the hillbilly Impression... why does it need TLC I don't crackers would do it any good... Or maybe TLC is a Cereal Brand to. What the heck is TLC anyway right so I am holding off on the other Options cause I am being Lazy and don't feel like trudging though the "dusting" or two feet of snow to get Pictures

The Horse stalls
the chickens
goats

If I had to use one of your three options it would be the shed (the first structure you posted). Seems to me that you could probably build one from scratch that would cost about as much as renovating one of your three options. You could take the playhouse and tear it apart and use some of the materials to make it cheaper on you. If the animals are staying in the barn...in my opinion...that is not an option. Hay and Aspergillosis are like peas and carrots. Where there is hay there will be Asper possibly not lethal amounts but there will be Asper. So why risk it.

Yea I didin't really Even consider the Barn for very long. About the Materials I think we have alot of them at least wood Wise The playhouse like you said and stuff in the top of the Barn, Really Dry Been up there for 6 years lol I think the Shed too Just thought I should show you the Options.the work on the Shed would be Replacing some boards and Insulating it, Windows to be cut IT would need to have a Pressure treated Foundation jack it up and put the Luber underneath. New Roof, clear some trees out from behind it So they don't fall. a dider to seperate Mews from wheighing and Equipment Room, I really can't estimate the cost Yet do that when we get it cleaned out.

How big is the playhouse? It looks like it just needs 2 walls, a roof, one window boarded and the other covered with vertical bars. I bet you could finish it for under $150.
