No having just moved from there. It is illegal. I took a hunter/safety course there and everything. I also talked to certain members of legislation ever consider changing that and at this time that is a no! It sucks, but if you're close enough to a border (like I was, near Ohio) etc you can get an out of state hunting permit and take trips to NJ or NY If you're in the middle though you're stuck!
discovery is not seeing new lands, but seeing with new eyes
If by training you mean flying it to bagged game or even lure flying it, you might run into a problem. When I was in California {i'm in NM now} free flying your bird for any reason was considered hunting even if you supplied the game. It just depends on how the warden wants to interrupt what your doing and the regs.
Jump-ups on a tether would get annoying quick... Teaching a bird to follow through trees is outlawed on Sunday? Or to the lure...getting them used to dogs...That really sux... basically you cannot even exercise or train your bird on Sunday.
Flying a bird to a synthetic lure is NOT hunting.
To me that is way to much regulation to have for a Falconry bird in the present day in America.
The only thing they should be concerned with is if your bird catches a game animal. Regulating bird training times and places is completely absurd.
I understand that you may get in trouble if you did these things but I am expressing a little shock and outrage, just learning about it... Damn I feel for you guys...

I'm from PA and hate the Sunday rule. Many times it's the only day I have lots of time(I'm not a falconer yet, so gun hunting). I don't know how it works with falconry but you can hunt crows on Fri, Sat., and Sun. July 1-Nov. 24, Dec. 28-April 6. (I don't know about everyone else, but that sounds like the stupedist hunting season, maybe someone understands the reasoning) So if you had a bird that could do crows, you might be able to do that on sunday(I would assume). Coyote is also open every day, year round in PA, so get a golden and go after them.
