Does anyone hunt on land owned by parks and rec. I spoke to my local G&F about it and they had no idea if it was legal, and if they don't know I am pretty sure that the parks & rec guys wont know so I thought I'd ask everyone on this list.
I live about 30 miles northwest of City of Rocks Nat. Reserve. If you're a rock climber, you've likely heard of it. I've wanted to hunt in that area with a redtail, but there are usually climbers and campers everywhere. Access is limited in winter due to road closures.
Also, the only cottontail I've seen there is the pygmy cottontail which is not legal to take in ID at present time. There are plenty of them, its just the lack of biological info on them that prompted state Fish and Game to make that decision. They don't want to lose a unique species and wish they "woulda shoulda". The pygmy looks like a regular cottontail, half size. They are limited to areas in northern NV and southern ID. I wouldn't want to risk flying a bird in a restricted area.

My situation seems special. You're not allowed to legally "hunt" in county/city parks where I am, but there are no rules about flying or exercising your bird. Animal control, parks and rec, and all the game wardens have given me the go ahead to fly her in the parks because every traps them and lets them loose in the parks so they're becoming a problem. They said not to worry about the let it lie rule because that'd just be a waste for me to throw them in a garbage can.

I'm sorry, but you said "it's impossible" when you really meant "I don't know how yet".
