Yeah, i would pretty much die as well... i almost did on a longboard going own a huge hill once, i can cruise around on a board okay but can't do any tricks...anyway, i used to cruise down this hill and hang aright on the first street that came up on the right before i gatherd to much speed. One day i decided, gonna go for the second street..by the time i got that far i was going so fast i knew i would never be able to turn that tightly..and proceeded to sail through four or five seperate 4-way stop intersections...(residential area thank god) probably doing 35 miles, an hour felt like more...anyway, if i tried to jump off and run i woulda smashed my face , i thought of trying to bail in some bushes, but there was a curb and concrete sidewalk and nothing looked to good as i sailed by...adrenaline rushing through me i thought, stay on as long as you can..at the end of the hill the street met a busy road....fortunatly i didnt fall off and when i got to the bottom of the hill the road roughened up quite a bit, rocks and stuff in the pavement..i slowed down a lot and after clearing that patch jumped off and ran as fast as i could legs whirling like windmills...stopped clear of the road by a good 30 feet thank god...it was such a rush once i realized i had made it and wasn't going to end up in a coma! "senor whitey" wasnt made to skate the hills of portland oregon..

"every dream you keep inside, another part of you has died"
Very similar story in my past. Although i TOOK that turn that i thought i was going to fast for.
Tucked down into a squat, holding onto one of the rails and just did a "lean of faith." I did quite a bit of skidding but made it through the turn only to continue turning right into the side walk. I couldn't slow down the turn and smacked into the curb, sending me sprawling, although i had bled off a lot of speed in the turn, i still got some nice rasberries and funny bone smashes.
My worst hill-bombing fear was "speed-wobbles" when I first started. I lost lots of skin and blood because of those bastards.
WOOO! Been there done that too many times.....I had a good buddy that took a bet to go down a HUGE hill with curves and he ended up going to the hospital holding his knee cap in his hand...... ....I used to be good at skateing....now I have become good at falling....

Read the thread topic! It will help you locate falconry related topics. You don't like it head for the beef thread! Yarak
If a man does not keep pace with his companions, perhaps it is because he hears a different drummer. Let him step to the music he hears, however measured or far away
I've died plenty of times while skating. Never made me want to quit, though . Falconry stuff and the GF take up most of my skate time nowadays, but I can still slip in a few sessions a week. ;D
Ha, LMAO. While your getting your few sessions a week I got 116 days on my pass this year. Mwahahahaha. I win you loose. Thats a record and I'm only 6 days short of everyday this season.

Dodes, I tried a backside tailslide once... never got above the rail. The edge of my board caught on the end of the pipe, flipped the board out from under me and I went down hard. Barely missed the pipe! Haven't really skated since.
