Hey guys i added athe my location to the map and if u guys wana hook up just give me a shout with the pm and we will get together i have yet to take the test yet maybe in a couple of weeks.
Just do a google search for falconry books or equipment. there are a few companies out there. and also try your state falconry club, they will get you pointed in the right direction.

i am located in middle tennessee on the cumberland plateau(Cookeville). i am currently reading diff. pieces of falconry literature. i have been searching for sponsors for about 2 months now and no luck. i have talked to a falconer that lived 30 minutes away and he did not seem interested in the long distance apprenticeship, but gave me some good leads. the twra have been of zero help at all. i have access to a lot of really good land to hunt including 500 plus acres of farmland. if anyone is in the area and would like to meet for a hunt just holler at me.

I moved from Michigan to Tennessee a little less than a year ago. I'm not currently seeking apprenticeship, but rather some opportunities to go hunting.
I'm in southwest Tennessee, Bethel Springs to be specific. Anything between Corinth, MS and Jackson, TN (probably beyond as well, but I don't yet know too much further than that.) Anyway, shoot me a line if you'll have me for a hunt with your bird of choice.
Edit: After thinking on it, I'd be stoked just to see your bird and facilities.

Welcome to the site! If it's not too far for you, and if you're interested, you're more than welcome to come up here to southeast Missouri to see my bird, facilities, and come out on a hunt with us if you'd like. I'll be releasing this bird in the spring, so if you're interested in the hunt we will have to make arrangements within the next couple of weeks.
Drop me a PM if you wanna make some plans.

I appreciate the offer, but I believe that would be a bit of a hike for me, at least in the next few weeks. Probably at least 3 hours each way. And I'm planning on moving my dad from Michigan in the next few weeks around my work schedule.
I too live in middle Tennessee in Nolensville just south of Nashville. Been looking for others interested in falconry in the area with no such luck. I have a 75 acre ranch that would be perfect for hunting. Its a mix of hardwoods, thick undergrowth, pastures, creeks, pond, etc. Would love to have someone come out and hunt just to see how it all works.
Im in memphis, Tn. 2nd year apprentice this next season (sept 2010) Be glad to have someone tag along hunting when i get another bird. just give me a shout wakeboard678@yahoo.com

I live in middle tennessee. I am 15. I became interested in falconry when i witnessed a redtail rake a squirrel right off the side of the tree. Since then, Ive read books on falconry and have pretty much seen every falconry video on youtube that there is. I plan on taking the test sometime in the next month (got a little more studying to do on raptor health), and guess from there i plan to find a sponsor(which from what ive read and heard is the real chalange). My family has an 155 acre farm that is jam packed with squirrels. It is in southern tennessee, near colombia. its about a 50 minute drive from where i live in brentwood tn. i would love to go on a hunt with someone, and maybe if possible, seek apprenticeship. please contact me, wtwestbrook@yahoo.com. even if your not willing to have an apprentice, i would love go hunting!!
