Need some better hunting spots, although more than likely everywhere you go there will be millions of people out hunting. Have a month pretty much till college starts back up, looking for pheasant hunting grounds. Been around sandhollow, dad been going there for 20 years so it is about all we goto. In idaho? Near boise? Have any good areas?
If your willing to drive a little bit, the first place I would try is up by Bruno. Check your map to see what is privately owned. As a rule most land owners are very open to falconry, one because we aren't allowed to shoot, two because they think it's cool, and three because realistically we aren't going to take as much game as someone with a shotgun. If it doesn't work out in Bruno I would head for Bliss, My absolute favorite is around Hagerman, My next favorite is in the south hills, By Twin Falls. I like around Murtaugh, Declo, Paul. And if you are feeling up for a drive head up to Fairfield. Around Hagerman you can find Pheasnts, chukar, huns, and a lot of quail. Good luck. I know you have some good sage grouse areas around Boise, but if you head toward Shoshone, there are some good areas there too. Rich
