Hello every one. I am new to both the site as well as falconry in general. I currently work at Sea World in San Diego, and was offered a job with a Master falconer if I can pass my license. I already have the CHC study guide, but I need to find a sponsor in the la Mesa/el Cajon area if at all possible in order to ask questions and learn from. I have never done something like this, but I am very very interested in starting. If you can send me a message if your willing to sponsor me, or know of someone in the area that would be willing to, I would be very very thankfull.
Not to be a downer, but the chances of someone offering to sponsor you over the internet aren't so hot. However, there is a good chance you can meet someone closer to you that you can go visit and spend some time with him. It can take most falconers a while to warm up to the idea of sponsoring someone (most of the time, they want to test your dedication). If you pursue it, you'll find someone who will be willing to sponsor you.
Welcome to the forum! Keep us updated with your progress!
Hello I am looking into getting into Falconry and live in Phelan California if anyone is up in the high desert or even down near rancho or Riverside could you contact me I am looking to just tag along on a hunt and see how you work with the birds. I am currently also in the process of preparing for the liscense test.
I'm a photographer based in Los Angeles. I mostly get hired by magazines to photograph portraits and various photo stories. I also shoot my own personal projects. I have been wanting to put together a story on falconry for a while now. I would be very interested in photographing a Falconer with their bird for a personal project.
In return, I would gladly offer beautiful images of the shoot.

I am a general falconer in between Sacramento and the mountains. I have flown red tail hawks and a kestrel. I am looking for a Harris's Hawk or trapping another Red-tail for the fall.
If there is anybody in the area from Stockton to Carson City PM me.
