Hello I live in Kalispell. I have been a licenced falconer in Utah and in Washington state but I have lived here in montana for 7 years and I am now looking for other falconers neer by So I can continue what i love. If any one can help me with any info I would greatly appreciate it. Thank you
Hey Grayhawk -- if you were licensed in two other states, you shouldn't need a sponsor, you should be able to transfer your license if you are a general. I live in the Bitterroot but I have a friend who lives up around Polson who I go hawking with occasionally. Great country up there, you should have a lot of fun.

Hello! My husband and I are interested in learning more about falconry and I was wondering if there was anyone in the Billings area that might let us tag along on an outing? Thanks!
There are LOTS of folks in the Billings area, but none on this board I don't think. You will get to see some of the most amazing falconry in the world--falcons on sage grouse. I will message you with the contact info for the club president and he should be able to direct you from there!

I am moving to Columbia Falls from Missoula. Be back and forth and would love to meet some of you guys. Maybe accompany you on a hunt. Let me know if you are within a couple hours drive and I'll head over. Look forward to hearing from some of you.
I would recommend getting in touch with Ally. She's a great falconer and knows a ton about how animals behave, which is very valuable in falconry. Shoot her a message! I'm sure she'd be willing to let you see her birds! She might even take you hunting if you're nice
It doesn't appear that there has been any activity in this feed for quite a few years, but I'm hoping someone will notice my post. I live in Great Falls, MT, and am very interested in falconry. Always have been really, but living in apartments and even in my first home in the city never seemed to really lend itself to having large predatory birds around. I'm currently in a position to purchase acreage just outside of town and build a house, and I am hoping to begin my apprenticeship in falconry before too long. There was earlier mention that Skyrider and Exile were Great Falls locals...but is this still the case? Who can I get in contact with to try and find a sponsor? Thanks folks!
Hey jd. I don't know if exile comes on this board anymore. He didn't stick around here long.
As for me, I no longer live in Montana. I've relocated to Utah. The only falconer in the area I can think of runs a vet clinic off Fox Farm Rd (I may be remembering the road incorrectly).
Hello, I am new to this forum and looking for a sponsor. I have been interested in falconry for years. I have requested the information from fish and game, have my hunting license and have read several books on falconry. I now have the time, resources and financials to take the next step. I live in Kalispell and having trouble finding falconers. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Jenny, sounds like you're headed in the right direction. The Montana group doesn't tend to get together a whole lot (maybe they do and I just never went haha). If you go into NAFEX (another falconry forum) there are actually quite a few falconers on there from Montana. You should be able to find one to visit with over there. Ally is about the only one left in Montana on this forum. She's relatively close to you. You might be able to get in touch with her.
