I know this is a stretch but I thought I ‘d throw it out there anyway.
I need multiple attorneys, a paralegal (with discovery experience), and two legal secretaries in the Huntsville area. The office is in Huntsville, but our employees commute from Houston, Conroe, Bryan, College Station, etc. The “Legal Secretary” positions do not require any experience and can be male or female. That is just the technical terms given to the positions.
Government pay, great hours, great environment, very satisfying work.
Plenty of time and freedom to hunt with your bird. There aren’t many places you can go where the boss is a falconer (ME! )
It’s hard to briefly explain exactly what we do, but think State funded District Attorneys office with no elections (Read: job security). It’s not CPS.
The attorneys can expect to go to trial within 6 months of being in the office. The trials are civil in nature with all phases of discovery. They will get 6 or so trials a year. Attorneys are in the office 4 days a week. Staff and yours truly are here 5.
Paralegals start in the mid 30’s
The legal secretary positions would start around 30
The attorney positions are obviously best suited for baby lawyers or ADA’s that want some job security. We have almost no turnover, but the State tripled our funding, so we need some help.
If you are looking to start a career that will allow you the freedom to be a falconer – then I don’t think it would get much better than this.
