kenbro, welcome. I just moved to Texas from Washington state and we drove through Wichita Falls I believe on our way to Ft Worth. There are alot of great falconers in this state to hook up with and learn from. I'm finishing up my first year as an apprentice and trained a kestrel last winter up in Wa. I'll be trapping my first Redtail this fall to hunt squirrels with. You just missed the THA picnic last month, we had a few other aspiring apprentices there. Hopefully you can make it over here this fall and we can show you what a Redtail can do.
Well heck, I can't let all the other Texans get on here without me saying something too! Kenbro, Welcome to the list. If your ever feeling ambitious, come on down here and we can have a falconers general principle party. ......we do that alot here.....for no really good reason other than we can.......

Thankyou for the welcome. I am very excited about this. Have been doing a lot of research. I just sent off my THA application. Looking foward to meeting some falconers in the area. Have not found any close yet. Did notice Dallas and Ft. Worth areas, and Jaksboro. Hope to meet all of you some day. Any information you can give me into this. Would be greatly excepted.

One person you should call is Roger Crandall. He is the THA Apprentice coordinator and can help you locate a falconer nearby to talk with. I will PM you with his phone number and mine if you need any info. Cheers, Weasel

Thanks, I have already been in contact with Roger by e-mail. He gave me his number and I will call him tonight. Are you in the THA, and I was wondering how many on this board are in the THA.
