LOL.....brings back childhood memmories of me sticking my tongue on a chain link fence in winter waiting for the school bus after watching "A Christmas Carol" where the little boy does that and it stuck.....I really didn't think it would and I was WAY wrong! The lady of the house came out and poured a little bit of water on my tongue and it came right off! Fortunately I have never had any bells crack or had my birds tongue stick to them either! That would definately be picture worthy! LOL
mine stays out even at minus fourty. Though she does get brought in for watering and not put out till she is dry. I also take the bells off when it gets really cold.
New to the forum. Best answer I have found related to my cold weather questions so far have been on this thread. Which is great. Chris. Would you be willing to contact me personally to talk over some tips and some info related to keeping a red tail in very cold temps. You say you hit minus forty occasionally. Same here. Manitoba, Canada. Gets damn cold! Would love to pick your brain a bit about winter management and mews ideas. Thanks.
