How does one go about learning the ailments of birds of prey? I hear people talking about it a bunch but it does not appear in many books. The only info I have found is onlinefalconry.com 's practice test. I was able to right down some of the questions and try to look them up, but a lot of the things on the test affect many critters including humans. Is there a book I can get or should I try and pick the brain of a vet? I ask this as I am in a pre-apprentice state and don't really have anyone to call and ask as of yet.
Here is a good start to looking at some of the more common diseases we face with the birds. This is from a list members site. www.diversityinutah.com/med.html
