I bought a hide from this seller a couple years ago. Real good price and received it in about a week. If memory serves me right, the shipping cost more than the hide, but was still a bargain. I'd definitely recommend it.
The falconry grade ones as he calles them are from .6 ot .7 mm. I wouldnt use the thin ones on a bird, but what do I know. I am mainly making hoods out of them.
The hide I got is thin. I double it (glued and sewn) for anklets and jesses. I think it's too thin for hoods, other then maybe braces and the top knot.

I think for RT you need .9-1.1 if memory serves.
