Eagles may soar, but weasels don't get sucked into jet engines "Give a man a fish, and you'll feed him for a day; give him a religion................ and he'll starve to death while praying for a fish."
I am not a big fan of marshall anymore I lost a peregrine with a rt+ transmitter on her I looked for a week and never got a signal I had a signal but it disappeared real quick. I have talked to other falconer that have had alot of bad luck with marshall products too so thats it for me. I am going for the L AND L now and see if they are better they are alot cheaper so that is a plus.
I like L&L transmitters and I like Merlin if I am using a leg mount. I have several Merlin transmitters in my box and 2 L&L transmitters for the eagle.
looks great and the prices are great too. i am interested in the xlf tail mount. my bird tore 2 transmitters to smitherines last year, hence no telemetry this year. would you conciter this a good reciever for tail mounts?
I'd also consider Merlin. Ed Levine runs the place and he provides absolutely the best customer service avaialable. They now have all their models in a tap on/tap off version. Plus, the 1/3 N model that I use on my bird and dogs has like a 30 day battery life and it only costs something like $155. Their web site is www.merlin-systems.com. Be certain to ask for the tap on/off model. They haven't started advertising them, but they're already selling them. -Joe
I just ordered my new L&L today it was the f2 I believe it has a 5 -14 battery life and a seven mile range it will be here in 2 weeks which sucks because I need it now but its my fault for waiting to long.
