boyds just got back with me and the shipping was about half the cost and I have herd good things about themm4tt said:
ive heard boyds has smaller quail, yet they are far richer. if im thinking of the same boyds that is, they are in E. WA, and the shipping for people in WA is usually dirt cheap... they can overnight ground ;-)dirthawker2004 said:
yes it is the same boyds. but as he explained to it its the difference of feeding a bunch of pound cake or a lesser amount of t-bone. the real problem that I am having right now is I can crop up the coop with the quail that I got from RP and she doesn't gain any weight. I got a few of the boyds quail from a friend of mine and walla she gained weight. they are a high strung bird though. robruger1 said:
Two weekends ago I had the pleasure of spending a weekend at Danny Ertsgaards house. I found out that he is Boyd's biggest and number one customer being that he spent 45,000.00 with them last year. He WILL NOT use any other supplier. The birds are small but when I asked why he liked them soo much, he didn't say a word, walked to the fridge, pulled a quail out and exposed the breast which was almost purple, and said, "need I say more?" He has tried other suppliers and said that there is no quality like Boyd's out there. He has over 80 birds at all times and more during when chicks start hatching, plus his hunting birds and they eat nothing but Boyd's. If it good enough for Danny Ertsgaard, then it is good enough for me.dirthawker2004 said:
here here that is the better quality than quantity. and the ship rate was much nicer
